8th Athienou Traditional Products Festival

Visitors can discover the rich food heritage of Athienou through local producers and a wide selection of traditional flavours, ranging from freshly baked bread and savoury pies to ofto kleftiko, loukoumades, halloumi, anari, bulgur, nuts and local sweets.

The programme also includes practical demonstrations and workshops introducing traditional food-making techniques, such as the preparation of halloumi, trachanas, bread and makaronia tou sklinitziou. Special attention is also given to the well-known local Pittota and to Athienou’s embroidery tradition.
