Orange trees and oranges are so deeply rooted in Cypriot culture that they often feature in traditional songs, such as “Portokalia tou Karava” and “Portokalia tou Varosiou”.
If you would like to enjoy the fragrance of freshly picked oranges or sample handmade orange-based products, the Orange Festival in Miliou is the perfect destination. Miliou is a small village in the Paphos district, home to just around 50 residents and surrounded by orange groves, vineyards and unspoilt natural scenery.
