Vasilikon Winery is located on the northwestern coast of the island, in the Laona–Akamas region, in the village of Kathikas. It is one of the first local wineries of Cyprus, founded in 1993. Since 2012, a new state-of-the-art winery has been established, featuring a spacious tasting room, a lecture hall, and an exhibition area of ancient artifacts. The privately owned vineyards lie at an altitude of 650–700 meters, covering 25 hectares, and are planted with both indigenous and international grape varieties, with Xynisteri being the dominant one.
