αγριοτριανταφυλλιά, ροδή η κυνορροδή. 

"In Cyprus, five species of this shrub are native to the island. It is a shrub with thorns and its flowers, mostly pink and white, are extremely fragrant" (Great Encyclopedia of Cyprus, vol. 2, entry αρκοτρανταφυλλιά,η, 307).
