Name - Origin
The residue after crushing sesame seeds to produce sesame oil. It is consumed by the poor or used as pigs' feed (Yangoullis 2009, entry κούσβος,ο, 234).
George Loukas in his Glossary mentions that it is "the remaining hard fyrama [fyrama =φύραμα,το = the dough] left over after making halouva" (Kypri 1979 [2002²], entry κοῦσβος,ο, 250).
