Supplementary Information
"In a place where there is a lack of nomads, the number of cows is limited to those needed for agricultural work. Apart from those of Cyrus, the others are small and thin. Rams and goats are plentiful. Plenty of pigs. The goats are tender and delicate, their skin is exported to France. Chicken are common in Cyprus, just as they are in Egypt. Geese and ducks are scarce, because of the scarcity of water" (Frangoudi EN, 1885 pp. 41-42).
