S̆s̆innos is added in the mixture of Cyprus sausages to enhance their taste. The oil extracted from s̆s̆innos is called s̆s̆innóladon and was used only as frying oil (Kypri 1983 [2003²], entry σ̆σ̆οίννος,ο, 347).
