Name - Origin
Μάντολα.
Eugenia Petrou-Poeitou notes that mantola is: almond in caramel (Petrou-Poeitou 2013, entry Μάντολα, 82).
Georgios Babiniotis notes that mantola is a traditional Ionian sweet, consisting of roasted almonds coated with sugar, to which colouring and flavouring substances have been added (Babiniotis 2005, entry μάντολα,η, 1046).
