The liquid that remains after the distillation of zivania. It has a very low alcohol content. It is not drunk as an alcoholic drink, but when it starts to flow, the villagers remove the distilled zivana (tsipoura) and replace them with other drinks (Pharmakidou XP, 2003 p. 204).

Porakos is derived from the words από-ρακή (from-raki) or υπόρακή (under-raki) (Pharmakidou XP, 2003 p. 204).
