Xenophon P. Pharmakidis in his Glossary in the entry ποξαμάτινpoxamátin notes that some people call it paximátin. Plural poxamáthkia; a small poxamatin is pocamatoúin (pl. poxamatoúthkia). Also called kavkaliá (Kypri 1983 [2003²], entry ποξαμάτιν,το, 204).

The phrase "Θέλει tζιαι to ποξαμάτιν βρεμένον" (he wants the poxamatin soaked) was aboutf someone who was in prison and chose to be hanged, because he was bored of soaking his poxamatin (Petrou-Poeitou 2013, article Paximatis-Poxamatis, 109).

Supplementary Information

Pregnant women would bake poxamathkia, to treat those who would come to visit them after giving birth: "Before delivering, a woman would prepare poxamathkia so that after delivering, when visitors would bring her glytžistá, she would return the plate with poxamathkia in it. As soon as a baby was born, the priest who was performing agiasmon (blessing) was offered by the new mother a white thread with threaded poxamathkia'' (Mavrokordatos 2003, 320).
