Tas̆í (sesame paste) is the main ingredient of tas̆inosaláta, a spread consumed as an appetiser or as an accompaniment to other dishes. Tas̆í is also used to bake tas̆inópitta (tashinopitta, a sweet pastry with sesame paste), consumed especially during periods of fasting.
