Χαλβάς κατσαρόλας αλάδωτος. Sweet made of semolina, almonds and syrup, flavoured with cinnamon, cloves and rose water.

Ingredients

5 cups of water
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp rosewater or a little vanilla
Some ground mastic
1 cup of semolina
Almonds blanched

Method

In a pot, bring the water and sugar to a boil. When the sugar has dissolved, add the rosewater, mastic and semolina. Stir constantly until it thickens. Serve in a baking dish and decorate the halouva with blanched almonds. (MANRE 2006, 55)
