A favourite, refreshing summer drink. Fresh strawberry juice not only has a wonderful aroma and taste, but it is also very nutritious.
Name - Recipe
Χυμός φράουλας.
1/2 kg strawberries
1-2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 glasses of water
Wash the strawberries well, remove the stems and drain them. Put all the ingredients in a blender (blender with a blade) until the strawberries are well blended. Serve the juice with ice cubes. It can be kept for 2-3 days in the refrigerator or stored in the freezer in plastic containers for up to six months. (MANRE 2011, 72)

Functional and symbolic role
Fresh strawberry juice has a wonderful aroma and taste and is very nutritious, tonic and diuretic, with laxative properties and strong antioxidant action. It contains a number of vitamins (A, C) as well as phosphorus, iron, potassium, calcium, calcium, magnesium, tannins and fibre (MANRE 2011).
