A sweet delicacy of modern times. The mixture of orange juice and sliced apples is boiled, then thickened with the addition of sugar.

Ingredients

400g diced apples (~ 2 glasses)
3/4 glass of orange juice
610g sugar (2 glasses)
Juice of 1 lemon

Method

Extract the juice from the oranges and strain it. Peel the apples and dice them (about 1 cm). Boil the orange juice and the apples for 5 minutes. Then add the sugar and stir for another 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and stir until the mixture thickens. (MANRE, 72)
