Psito - roast meat or chicken with potatoes is the most popular Cypriot dish cooked in the oven. It is particularly associated with the family Sunday lunch.

Shamishi - Šámiši

Sheftalies - Šeftalies

A typical meat mezé of the modern Cypriot cuisine. Sheftalies are often served in pitta, combined very well with souvlakia and accompanied with potatoes, salad and yoghurt.

Šinnopittes

A recipe from Rizokarpason regarding a type of very thin and crispy pitta containing seeds from the šinnos plant (Pistacia lentiscus).

Šinnopsomo

A type of bread containing aromatic seeds from the šinnos plant (Pistacia lentiscus). They are also called šinnopittes and they are either soft or crispy.

Sisamopittes

The recipe comes from Marathasa. Sesamopites were one of the products sold by the people of Marathasa at festivals, along with porika, nuts, shoushoukko and pastellin.
