Fasting vegan meatballs with oriental aroma. Served with tahini and parsley or green salad.

Ingredients

1 glass whole chickpeas
3 medium onions
3 cloves of garlic
½ a glass of chopped parsley
½ cup chopped coriander
2-3 tsp flour
½ tsp dry coriander
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp pepper
A little salt

Method

Soak the chickpeas in water from the night before. Drain them and combine them lightly in an electric mixer (skin on) Add the rest of the ingredients and beat them to mix together well but not to mash) Transfer the mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Remove from fridge, shape the mixture in small balls, press them lightly and fry them in hot oil. Serve with tahini and fresh parsley. (MANRE 2008)
