Beans with minced meat

A tasty dish that can be cooked either on the stove or in the oven. The minced meat and beans are cooked in a rich tomato sauce.

Φασόλια με κιμά.

Ingredients

½ kg of beans
½ kg of minced meat
1 onion, chopped 
40ml oil
1 tomato juice 
Parsley, chopped
2 glasses of water
A pinch of cinnamon
A pinch of salt
A pinch of pepper

Method

In a pot, add the beans and water and boil them until they are half cooked. In a pan, add the oil and sauté the onion. Add the minced meat, salt, pepper, cinnamon and cook. Add the parsley. Add the tomato juice, the water and the beans and simmer to reduce the sauce. Alternatively, transfer all the ingredients in an ovenproof dish and bake them in the oven. Serve with fresh salad.
